Brown Sugar was established in 1975 in a small store in Brighton, Victoria. Initially the brand was launched as a fashion boutique selling a collection of labels from well known Australian companies, but as the business developed the company started designing, developing and manufacturing its own fashion collection under the Brown Sugar label.

Brown Sugar Australia has over 40 stores nationwide. In addition to this is our ability to reach a wider audience through online shopping, makes us a dominant force within the fashion retail industry.

The Brown Sugar fashion collection includes a coordinated collection of apparel and accessories for an ageless; fashion conscious customer.  The range offers modern classics and contemporary pieces reflecting the looks, shapes and colours of the season. We are also proud to offer pants in half sizes, ranging from sizes 6-16 across many styles. 

Our passionate  design team research, develop and produce the  fashion collection supported by an in-house team, to ensure that attention to detail, fit, and quality are maintained across all styles.

To support the ongoing development of the brand, new concept stores have opened in Doncaster, Port Melbourne, Sorrento and on Melbourne's very fashionable Chapel St. More stores are planned to open throughout 2010 and further enhancements to store design will ensure that our retail interior spaces create a practical, warm and welcoming environment.
